BIFC have won the Bexley Invicta FC Trophy again this year, having won it last year.

In blustery conditions at Coldharbour Leisure Centre, Eltham, south east London, yesterday, ‘Bexley 3’ beat Romans Gladiators 1-0 in the Final. Sam Thorpe scored the tournament-winning goal. Alex Whitefield captained the victorious team.

Ten teams took part in this year’s tournament, including Stonewall FC, London Titans, Romans Gladiators, BLAGGS (Brighton-based club), Pheonix FC and Soho FC.

Gary Ginnaw, BIFC’s coach/manager, thanked all clubs for taking part in the tournament and added, “Huge congrats to Alex’s team for winning the tournament. I’m so glad we did win it today… It’s a victory for the club… I’m so proud of each and everyone one of you!”
